JOHN McCLANE Niek Versteeg is a British actor trained at Stella Adler in Los Angeles, where he studied under Ron Burrus. Screen credits include Wolfblood, Waterloo Road, and Inspector George Gently (BBC), as well as the feature films Harrigan and Clay. His solo play about Tommy Cooper won Best Actor at the 2022 Hollywood Fringe Festival. He's a current BAFTA US Newcomer/Connect Member, and this holiday season performs his Tommy Cooper Solo Show Dec 21st, following Die Hard Xmas, also at London's Museum of Comedy - COME ON DOWN!

HANS GRUBER Sean Cowhig is an actor, writer, producer, and award-winning director with over two decades of experience in the LA improv and sketch comedy scene. A founding member of the legendary creative collective Dr. God, Sean co-wrote and starred in their debut feature film, Bloodsucking Bastards (Fran Kranz, Pedro Pascal), which premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival.
On the small screen, Sean served as Executive Producer and Series Regular for two seasons of SYFY’s Hell Den (Matthew Lillard, Maria Bamford) and has appeared on AXS TV’s MOCKpocalypse. Most recently, he earned rave reviews for his starring role as Hans Gruber in Die Hard Xmas, a performance he recently brought to sold-out audiences Off-Broadway and in London’s West End.

ELLIS Cal Buckley is a young actor out of a small town north of Toronto Canada. Cal moved to LA bright eyed and 18 years old to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. It was at AADA that he found his love for comedy and stage acting. Cal starred in an array of productions during his time there. Most notable as Sven in Alan Ayckbourn’s “Joking Apart” directed by Ian Ogilvy. Following AADA Cal was scouted to join season 23 of American Idol where he earned a golden ticket and advanced to the Hollywood rounds of the competition and earned the moniker of “Canadian Elvis” from Luke Bryan. Cal signed a record deal In Canada and has been releasing music since July 2025. He starred in the holiday rom-com a Christmas Crown airing on the great American Family Channel this October. Cal is excited to return to his role of Ellis for this years run of “Die Hard Xmas” where he brings a uniquely cocaine (sugar powder) fueled performance to your favorite stages.

ELLIS Kareem Lewis-raised in Clayton County, Georgia-is an actor celebrated for his commanding presence and emotional depth. JOE TAKAGI Producer. Joining us for our third season of Die Hard X-Mas is Raymund C. King. Raymund is an actor and executive producer. He worked his way through college and medical school as a professional magician and concert violinist before becoming a physician, entertainment lawyer, and actor. Dr. King has produced 25 films and acted in at least 28 to date, and he has recently entered the field of stage theater and musical improvisation. He is the president of Mariposa King Studios in Texas and a partner in Kappa Distribution, a faith and family film distribution company in Burbank, California.
MUSICAL DIRECTOR Elizabeth Rossi has been the Musical Director for Die Hard Xmas since its inception in 2022. She’s trained as a classical pianist starting at age 5 and has since learned multiple instruments, musical composition and deep theory. Her works are featured in films, documentaries, TV shows, and podcasts. On stage, Rossi has accompanied professional musicians ranging from opera singers to heavy metal artists. Accolades include 'Best Keyboardist/Pianist' PMA Award and nominations for Best Original Song in films.
COSTUME DESIGNER Marianne Parker is an accomplished and globally recognized Los Angeles based costume designer and pattern maker. Her repertoire includes For All Mankind, Ahsoka, Star Trek Picard, The Mandalorian, Shang Chi & The Legend of the 10 Rings, Brave The Dark. Trained in fashion and costume design in Edmonton, Alberta Canada, Marianne moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a professional costume designer. She has worked in all aspects of costume design for film, television, theatre, dance, music and live events. Creative career highlights include making Luke Skywalker & Boba Fett costumes in season 2 of the Mandalorian, developing the Chinese warrior costumes for Shang Chi & The Legend of the 10 Rings, travelling to the Nobel Prize Awards with Barry Manilow and designing the costumes for a full-scale operatic production of Alice In Wonderland. Many of her projects are award winning and have been nominated and recognized for outstanding achievements at the Emmys for Costume Design, as well as the Costume Designers Guild Awards. @costumedoodles
DIRECTOR Sandro's previous London West End and New York stage productions as writer-director include love story Marilyn & Sinatra and the Les Mis parody, Miserable Lesbians. He also executive produces successful short films such as Room Taken, Sister Wives, and Key of Genius, all of which have qualified for the Oscars. As an author he has written hit biographies of movie stars Mickey Rourke and Colin Firth as well as his own award-winning autobiography, Confessions of a Hollywood Insider.
SOCIAL MEDIA GURU Nicole Versteeg is thrilled to return for her fourth year with Die Hard Xmas: The Parody Musical. Though primarily an actor, she’s happily stepping in as social media guru to support the team and keep the holiday chaos running smoothly. She’s especially grateful to be part of this hilarious production and to cheer on her real-life husband, Niek Versteeg, in the role of John McClane.
COMPOSERS Ian Hooper has been producing music for over 30 years in the U.K. In 2025 he attended Buckingham Palace where he was recognised for his services to music and education. He teamed up with his bandmate Andy Flynn to co-write the song “I’m John McClane” for the parody musical Die Hard Xmas and they’re both delighted that it became the charity single from the show.
